After the L.A. Innocence Project took up his case, convicted murderer Scott Peterson has broken a long silence in a three-part Peacock true crime docuseries.

Face to Face with Scott Peterson, a Universal Television Alternative Studios series set to bow Aug. 20, will see Peterson give his first on-camera interview since 2003 as he discusses the notorious murders of his wife Laci Peterson and unborn son Conner.

The official teaser trailer, which dropped on Monday, includes jailhouse footage of Peterson being interviewed, but he does not speak on camera. That, according to Peacock, will come with the docuseries where Peterson will give his side of the story to series director Shareen Anderson, who has been investigating the murder case for over a decade.

The docuseries also premieres in the wake of the Los Angeles Innocence Project announcing it will investigate Peterson’s case as the 20th anniversary of his conviction approaches.

The non-profit that works to exonerate the wrongly convicted argued Peterson’s state and federal constitutional rights were violated and new evidence backs his claim of innocence. Peterson was convicted of murder in 2004 and received a death sentence a year later. That sentence was eventually reduced to life in prison without parole.

“While many still believe the jury got it right, Scott’s family and experts close to the case have spent over 20 years committed to uncovering inconsistencies in the evidence as well as finding new information around alternative theories surrounding Laci’s murder,” producers of the Peacock docuseries said in a statement on Monday.

If he didn't do this ..need to put the prosecutor in federal prison for the exact amount of time this guy has done...same prison...same cell as you really don't know.............look at how many American citizens are being released after spending time in prison for nothing...... accountability for douchebags like cop's lying and prosecutor's fucking things up .... Orlando Cruz case in Illinois....look up the case as there's innocent people in prison and nobody gives a fuck until it's you
