Maxie Solters, a third-generation publicist and the daughter of Scoop Marketing principal Larry Solters, died unexpectedly Thursday at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. She was 37.

No cause of death was immediately available.

In 2012, Maxie continued her family’s legacy by following in the public relations footsteps of her father and late grandfather, Lee Solters , a legend in the business.

Known as a vibrant and invaluable member of the Scoop team, Maxie Solters “brought a unique blend of creativity, passion and expertise to her work,” the company said in a statement. Her clients included the Kia Forum, the Hollywood Bowl and Music Forward, among many others.

“Her infectious enthusiasm, positivity, innovative ideas and unwavering dedication made her an inspiration to all who knew her,” it added.

Born on March 22, 1987, and raised in Sherman Oaks, Solters graduated from Oakwood School and then USC with a bachelor’s degree in theater. After college, she began her career in film and television casting while serving as a coordinator at One Billion Rising , a global organization that aims to end violence against women.

In addition to acting, Solters showed a creativity and drive that led her to create, produce and star in her own comedy internet series. She was a voting member of SAG.

Solters was actively involved in V-Day International and Women’s Rights, a testament to her compassion and desire to create a better future. “Her unwavering optimism and kind heart touched the lives of many,” the company said.

In addition to her father and his partner, Carol Greenhut, survivors include her mother, Debra Graff; her aunt, Susan Reynolds; her cousin, Jonah Reynolds; her longtime partner, Dim Dobrin; and her dog, Pookie.

A celebration of life is being planned. Donations in her name can be made to One Billion Rising.
