AMC Networks has found its next star in the Anne Rice Immortal Universe.

The third series in the franchise, Anne Rice’s The Talamasca , was greenlit in June to join Interview With the Vampire and Mayfair Witches , and the series is now coming into focus. Described as a drama focused on the secretive society called The Talamasca that is featured in many of Rice’s novels, the six-episode season will focus on the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires and other creatures scattered around the globe.

Nicholas Denton ( Dangerous Liaisons , Glitch ) has been cast as lead Guy Anatole, a character who is “brilliant, handsome and sharp on the surface, but he’s always known his mind works a little differently.”

Guy, on the cusp of graduating law school, is approached by a representative of the Talamasca, “a secretive agency that monitors and protects us from the supernatural world.” When Guy learns that the Talamasca has been tracking him since his childhood, he falls headlong into a world of secret agents and immortal beings who, up to now, have maintained a fragile balance with the mortal world. But for that balance to hold, and for Guy to survive, he will have to learn to embrace the dark, treacherous depths of his true and singular self.

Anne Rice’s The Talamasca is slated for a 2025 premiere on AMC and AMC+, with production beginning next month in Manchester, England.

The news comes as Interview With the Vampire concluded its critically acclaimed second season this summer, nabbing a quick season three renewal ahead of its finale. Interview was the first series in the AMC franchise.

Mayfair Witches returns with its a second season in early 2025.

Anne Rice’s The Talamasca is executive produced by John Lee Hancock ( The Blind Side ) and Mark Lafferty ( The Right Stuff , Halt and Catch Fire ), who also serve co-showrunners, and Mark Johnson, who oversees the Anne Rice Immortal Universe. Hancock will also direct.

Denton is repped by UTA, United Management in Australia and Conway Van Gelder Grant.
