“Put it to REST,” former Bachelor contestant Maria Georgas wrote in her latest TikTok caption. The reality star is breaking her silence following Tuesday’s heartbreaking Bachelorette finale .

The ABC reality show’s 21st season came to a teary end Tuesday night, following the revelation that Jenn Tran, the season’s leading lady, and Devin Strader, her pick, had broken up in between the show’s pre-taped finale and the live After The Final Rose special. Tran, who was the veteran show’s first Asian American lead, explained through tears that following the couple’s historic double engagement, Strader became distant and eventually called off the wedding through a phone call.

Strader eventually took the stage during the live special to speak with Tran. “I don’t even know where to start,” she told Strader to kick off their conversation. In the conversation, Tran mentioned that Strader followed Georgas on Instagram the morning after their engagement ended and, instead of being upset about their relationship, he was “in New York clubbing with Jeremy.”

“I don’t know what you guys are expecting. I’m not sure what you guys want from this, but truly what this is going to be is my truth and the frustration that comes with that,” Georgas said to begin a five-and-a-half minute long TikTok video , in which, at one point, she said that hearing her name on the finale days earlier was a “shock.” The 30-year-old was a fan-favorite on her season of The Bachelor and recently revealed she turned down The Bachelorette because she was not in the right headspace.

“[The finale] was hard to watch. And my heart goes out to Jenn because going through something like that is one thing, but then having to rewatch and relive everything is a whole different ball game,” referencing the show’s decision to have Tran and Strader watch back their loving proposal after the breakup, a moment that has since been receiving criticism from viewers.

Georgas said the conversations should’ve happened off camera. She added: “Unfortunately, in this world, this Bachelor world, this reality TV… it’s always going to be for our viewing pleasure.”

In the video, Georgas emphasized that she understands Tran having to bring up Strader following her on Instagram. “Say your peace girlfriend. I respect it,” she said.

“I just think that without the full context, it leads people to believe a whole different narrative,” she continued, explaining that she never followed Strader back, and never will after the finale. She also clarified that she had gone clubbing with Bachelorette contestant Jeremy Simon, but has never met Devin and never went out clubbing with him. She dropped in that she has no plans to be a contestant on franchise spinoff series Bachelor in Paradise .

“Let’s just put it to rest,” Georgas said of the situation. “I was just enjoying my family vacation. I just did not need to be dragged into this. Enough with the pinning women against each other.”

She finished her video by reminding people that even if she and Tran are no longer friends, that doesn’t mean they hate one another. “People are calling me out for things that aren’t even true, and I can’t sit here with a smile on my face and stay silent. It’s not me,” she said.

“I’m just a regular person who went on a reality TV show,” Georgas finished. “Stop holding me to a standard that doesn’t exist.”
