    Jennifer Hudson Snags Another Trophy: Rowdy Activist Award at Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS

    The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation has added an EGOT winner to the program for the upcoming Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS.

    Jennifer Hudson is set to receive the inaugural Elizabeth Taylor Rowdy Activist Award at the fundraising gala, singled out for “ongoing support for people living with HIV and for the LGBTQ+ community,” per the foundation. Joining the festivities will be Natasha Bedingfield, who will take the stage and perform. As previously announced, Gap president and CEO Richard Dickson will receive will accept the Elizabeth Taylor Commitment to End AIDS Award while Pose breakout Dominique Jackson will serve as emcee.

    The ball, supported by presenting sponsor Gilead Sciences, will take place at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sept. 26. In addition to the seated dinner, live performance and honoree program, the event will feature a live auction in partnership with Christie’s and exclusive views at items from the Elizabeth Taylor Archive.

    The accolade will be just the latest in Hudson’s career. She’s previously been honored with a Grammy, Oscar, Tony and Emmy for her work. Other trophies include a NAACP Entertainer of the Year, AAFCA We See You Award, GLAAD’s Excellence in Media Award and the NAACP Image Award for best talk show host, to name a few. Her talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show , returns with a third season on Sept. 16.
