After leading the small screen pack with an impressive 25 Emmy nominations , including best drama series and best actor in a drama series, Shogun is one of the hottest TV shows of 2024.
Based on Australian author James Clavell’s novel of the same name , Shogun has also gained critical acclaim. The Hollywood Reporter ‘s chief television critic Daniel Fienberg called the series “big, bold and beautiful” in his review .

How to Watch Shogun Without Cable
All 10 episodes of Shogun are available to stream on Hulu for subscribers only. If you’re not a subscriber, the streaming service offers a 30-day trial , so you can stream Shogun for free on Hulu before committing to a month-to-month or annual subscription.
The streamer is increasing prices on Oct. 17, so you can lock in the best deal on Hulu by signing up for annual billing at $79.99 for your first year before then.
You can watch Shogun on Hulu starting at $7.99 per month for the ad-supported package or $17.99 for the ad-free tier.
Another one of the best streaming deals is the Disney Duo bundle, which comes with the ad-supported versions of Hulu and Disney+ for $9.99 per month — that’s a nearly 40 percent savings altogether. Additionally, the Disney Trio offers Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+, all with ads, for $14.99 per month — about a savings of 45 percent off compared to signing up for separate subscriptions.
You can even go somewhat commercial-free with the Disney Trio Premium . It includes the ad-free versions of Hulu and Disney+ and the ad-supported version of ESPN+ for $24.99 per month.
Where to Watch Shogun on Cable
Although FX produced the series, Shogun isn’t available to watch on the FX network on TV. The only way to watch is with a subscription to Hulu , which costs $7.99 per month (or $79.99 per year) with ads or $17.99 monthly (or $179.99 annually) without ads.
How to Watch Shogun Outside of the U.S.
