The Tribeca Festival has launched a new Creators Forum ahead of its 2025 festival, set for June 4-15 of next year.

The Creators Forum will be a multi-day summit within the festival designed for the broader filmmaking community. The program will feature conversations with industry leaders, roundtables offering group mentorship about everything from festival strategy to distribution, case studies from some of the biggest indie success stories and networking opportunities. Forum attendees will be able to use their access to Tribeca’s talent to help their projects and careers.

In addition to launching the Creators Forum, Tribeca’s short films program has expanded its eligibility guidelines to projects screened in New York or online for out-of-competition consideration. Additionally, Tribeca’s Creators Market “Works-in-Progress” showcase will now accept submissions. Filmmakers with work in post-production can submit to preview their project for an invitation-only industry audience at the Tribeca Festival.

“For over two decades, Tribeca has supported thousands of emerging and underrepresented artists, many of whom have gone on to become critically acclaimed, award-winning filmmakers. This tradition continues today with the launch of our new Creators Forum,” Tribeca CEO and co-founder Jane Rosenthal said in a statement. “As the industry evolves, Tribeca constantly seeks ways to make it more accessible to artists from all backgrounds, communities, and disciplines. The first-ever Creators Forum will do what Tribeca does best—facilitate connections, provide mentorship, offer creative support, and, hopefully, shift the trajectory of someone’s career.”

Festival director and senior vp, programming, Cara Cusumano added: “Tribeca has always stood for making film accessible to all. With the Tribeca Creators Forum, and our new submission opportunities for works in progress and short films, we are excited to widen the aperture even further to ensure that Tribeca is as inclusive as possible of creators at every stage of their project and their career. Whether you have work that’s in production, already online, or just a great pitch waiting for the right audience, Tribeca is a launching pad for what comes next.”

The 24th edition of the Tribeca Festival is set for June 4-15, 2025. Submissions are now open.
