Taylor Swift is putting a fraction of her billion-dollar net worth into hurricane relief.

The singer-songwriter donated $5 million to Feeding America for relief efforts following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the organization announced.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift,” Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot said in a statement posted to the organization’s social media. “This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms.”

She concluded, “Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead. Thank you, Taylor, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and for helping communities in need.”

Swift has donated to causes in the past. Earlier this year, she gave $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the DJ and mother of two who was killed in the Kansas City Chiefs victory parade mass shooting . In March 2020, she donated $1 million to tornado relief efforts in Middle Tennessee.

Over the course of her record-breaking Eras Tour, the Grammy-winning artist has donated money to food banks in the cities where her concerts have taken place, like the Arizona Food Bank Network. And her generosity stretches beyond those efforts and toward her tour crew. Sources told People last year that Swift gave bonuses totaling over $55 million to everyone working on her show.

Dolly Parton is among the other celebrities to donate to hurricane relief. Last week, following Hurricane Helene, the country icon shared that she was donating $1 million to victims of the devastating storm. In addition to her personal donation, she also announced that through her businesses — Dollywood Parks & Resorts, Dolly Parton’s Stampede and Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, and the Dollywood Foundation — another $1 million would be matched and made to the Mountain Ways Foundation nonprofit.
