The United Auto Workers union (UAW) launched several attacks against the Trump campaign on Tuesday following former President Donald Trump ’s live interview with Elon Musk on X on Monday night.

The union indicated in a statement that it had filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board, accusing Trump and Musk of intimidating workers with their comments in the broadcast.

The UAW account on X shared a video on Tuesday highlighting a part of the interview during which Trump described Musk supposedly firing a group of striking workers, but it was unclear if he was speaking about a real situation.

“I mean, I look at what you do,” Trump told Musk. “You walk in, you say, You want to quit? They go on strike, I won’t mention the name of the company, but they go on strike and you say, That’s okay, you’re all gone ... So, every one of you is gone.”

Meanwhile, Trump joked about fleeing to Venezuela if he loses November’s election during his highly-anticipated interview with the tech entrepreneur, which suffered a 40-minute derailment thanks to technical glitches .

The Latin American Republic is a “far safer place” than the US, the GOP presidential nominee declared in a wide-ranging chat in which he was rarely fact-checked.
