SI Fish & More is a soul food restaurant where you should focus on the “more”—like the jerk chicken that falls off the bone as soon as you look at it. Behind the counter at this casual St. George spot, steam trays bubble with oxtails swimming in gravy, and mac and cheese hiding under a thick layer of—yes—more cheese. There are a few tables where you can have a quick lunch, or wait for your order while watching music videos playing on a television to the left of the counter. The best way to eat here is to order a large spread, but if you’re looking for something small and quick, prioritize that jerk chicken—and eat it over your plate so it doesn’t abandon its bones and tumble right onto the ground. Either way, don’t leave without the banana pudding.

    Jerk Chicken

The jerk chicken here falls away from its bone under the weight of a single finger, yet somehow still has a slight crisp to its dark brown, shimmery skin. This is a must.

    Oxtails

Order these saucy oxtails over a big scoop of the mac and cheese, so that the gravy seeps into the noodles. Thank us later.

    Rasta Pasta

Creamy and comforting (but not boring) thanks to the jerk seasoning. Get it spicy, with shrimp.

    Mac and Cheese

Most people try their whole lives to master the art of mac and cheese, and never succeed. They should study the mac at SI Fish & More. It’s soft—way past al dente in the very best way—with an extra cheesy layer on top, and a generous shower of pepper.

    Banana Pudding

We have a rule—always get the banana pudding. Join us in honoring this rule, especially when you come here. This is the perfect ice-cold end to a warm and big-flavored meal.
