Eighth grade boys hoops win league title

( Feb. 12, 2023 ) The Nantucket eighth grade boys basketball team won the Cape Cod Youth Basketball League title Sunday with a 67-55 win over Dennis-Yarmouth in the championship game.

The team is made up of Cyrus Peirce Middle School students Nick Ferrantella, Sam Lucas, Jakeem Lindo, Tavio Gomes, Justin Williams, Fernando Parra-Garcia, Yuri Saunders, Burke Lombardi, Joao Silva and Richard Pires, with head coach Beau Almodobar.
