MANASSAS, VA — On Saturday, March 9, Old Town Manassas will come alive with the vibrant colors of green, celebrating the return of the Greater Manassas St. Patrick’s Day Parade. From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Center Street will play host to a spectacle of Irish American heritage, complete with music, bagpipes, Irish dancing, and an array of entertaining performances.

The parade's route, a journey through the heart of Old Town, begins at Prescott Avenue and Quarry Road, winds through Prescott Avenue, turns onto Center Street, and culminates at West Street. The reviewing stand at West and Center Streets promises the best vantage point for the festivities. For those planning to attend, it's advisable to arrive an hour early to secure a prime spot along the route. Spectators are encouraged to bring "low profile chairs" for added comfort.

This year's parade promises an immersive experience, with participating restaurants offering special foods to mark the occasion. Attendees are invited to join in the festive spirit by donning their best shades of green. Rain or shine, the celebration will go on, with road closures expected on the parade route, including segments of Center Street, Prescott Avenue, and Quarry Road.

Safety is a top priority, and parade marshals in yellow vests will be stationed throughout the route. Families are reminded to keep a watchful eye on their children and pets, while everyone is encouraged to stay clear of the roadway and parade processional. Additionally, caution is advised around active railroad tracks near the parade route.

Parking is available in public lots around Old Town Manassas, and spectators are urged to avoid parking on private residential or commercial property to prevent towing. With the parade dispersing at the entrance to the Harris Pavilion, the festivities promise a memorable celebration of St. Patrick's Day in the heart of Manassas. Don't miss the chance to be Irish for a day and revel in the rich traditions and vibrant spirit of the Greater Manassas St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
