In a shocking hit-and-run incident that left an 82-year-old man and two others injured, the Manassas area was plunged into chaos on March 12th. The culprit, identified as 23-year-old Miguel Angel Urquilla Cordova, is now the subject of a widespread police manhunt.

The events unfolded at the intersection of Coverstone Drive and Aaron Lane, where Urquilla Cordova, allegedly behind the wheel of a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder, struck the elderly pedestrian who was bravely attempting to cross the road. The impact was severe, leaving the victim with serious but thankfully non-life-threatening injuries. But the ordeal didn't end there.

Instead of stopping to render aid or alerting authorities, Urquilla Cordova chose to flee the scene, only to collide with another vehicle, a 2013 Toyota Camry, shortly after. The crash occurred near Sudley Manor Drive and Williamson Boulevard, adding more victims to the trail of destruction. Despite the chaos, law enforcement managed to track down Urquilla Cordova a short distance away from the scene. He was promptly detained, though the motive behind his reckless actions remains unclear.

In a press release, Prince William County police Master Officer Renee Carr outlined the charges Urquilla Cordova faces, including two counts of felony hit-and-run, maiming while driving under the influence, failure to yield to a pedestrian, reckless driving, and operating a vehicle without a license.

The search for Urquilla Cordova intensifies as police efforts to locate him have so far proved fruitless. Despite obtaining arrest warrants, authorities have been unable to bring him into custody as he was discharged from the hospital prior to warrant service.

As the hunt for justice continues, the community remains on edge, hoping for swift apprehension and closure for the victims of this harrowing incident.
