    Lawrence County grand jury returns 28 indictments, most drug related

    The Lawrence County grand jury returned 28 indictments in July and nearly all the charges are drug related.
    People indicted and their charges include:
    • Hope M. Fyee, 29, Pedro, fifth-degree felony possession of fentanyl-related compounds.
    • Christopher S. Newcomb, 27, Ironton, fifth-degree felony possession of heroin.
    • Bradley Alexander Adkins, 22, South Point, fourth-degree felony vandalism.
    • Miranda Dawn Brandenburg, 33, Scottown, third-degree felony misuse of a credit card.
    • Steven D. Wyant, 44, Portsmouth, third-degree felony tampering with evidence and fifth-degree felony vandalism.
    • Thomas M. Burton III, 31, Huntington, West Virginia, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs and fourth-degree felony possession of heroin.
    • Jennifer McKnight, 39, Pedro, fourth-degree felony failure to appear.
    • Keith P. Cremeans, 46, Chesapeake, fifth-degree felony possession of fentanyl-related compounds, fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine.
    • Vanessa D. McDowell, 43, Denton, Kentucky, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs.
    • Eric Ratcliff, 46, Proctorville, second-degree felonious assault.
    • Stetson Lee Gipson, 28, Ironton, fourth-degree felony improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and first-degree misdemeanor aggravated menacing.
    • Douglas P. Short, 52, Ashland, Kentucky, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs.
    • Billy R. Monroe, 61, Ironton, fourth-degree felony domestic violence.
    • Austin Clifton Bowen, 33, Huntington, West Virginia, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs.
    • Brooke S. Smail, 24, Huntington, West Virginia, third-degree felony illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility.
    • Scott M. Jenkins, 25, Ironton, two counts of fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs and fourth-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs.
    • Aaron Dylan Graham, 38, Ada, fourth-degree felony improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, first-degree misdemeanor using weapons while intoxicated and first-degree misdemeanor operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them.
    • Joanna D. Harris, age unknown, address unknown, fifth-degree felony identity fraud, second-degree misdemeanor obstructing official business and first-degree misdemeanor theft.
    • Jade M. Lewis, 30, South Point, third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine and fourth-degree felony illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
    • Brandon L. Gannon, 23, Ironton, third-degree felony discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises, fourth-degree felony improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and first-degree misdemeanor aggravated menacing.
    • Nelson Patrick Ward, 34, Chesapeake, third-degree felony tampering with evidence and fourth-degree felony gross sexual imposition.
    • Johnny D. Lewis, 41, Portsmouth, third-degree felony tampering with evidence fifth-degree felony vandalism, third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and two counts of fourth-degree felony grand theft of motor vehicle.
    • Sharon Marie Lambert, 32, Midkiff, West Virginia, second-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs and second-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs.
    • Aaron Christopher Vance, 42, Branchland, West Virginia, second-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs and second-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs.
    • Roseanna Marie Terry, 39, Huntington, West Virginia, second-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs and second-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs.
    • Coltan W. Scarberry, 33, Portsmouth, second-degree felony corrupting another with drugs, third-degree felony tampering with evidence, fourth-degree felony possession of heroin, first-degree misdemeanor child endangering and first-degree misdemeanor possession of drugs.
    • Tiffany Marie Preston, 39, Ironton, four counts of second-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs.
    • Christine E. White, 27, Ironton, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine and fifth-degree felony possession of fentanyl-related compounds.
