CCTC to have annual Community Fall Festival on Thursday

CHESAPEAKE — Collins Career Technical Center (CCTC) will be having its annual Community Fall Festival 4–7 p.m. Thursday. It is free and open to the public.
“This is a great opportunity for families to come together, learn more about our programs, and enjoy a fun evening with the community,” said James Woda, director of Communications at Collins Career Technical Center.
This year’s festival will feature a wide range of activities for all ages, including a free hog roast, inflatables, live music, Kona Ice, pumpkin and face painting, and a FAFSA workshop for families seeking assistance with financial aid. High school nursing students will offer health checks, and cosmetology students will provide complimentary nail treatments.
Representatives from CCTC’s Aspire, high school and adult education programs will be available to answer questions about the school’s diverse educational offerings. The event will also coincide with the high school parent-teacher conference, allowing high school parents to meet with teachers while enjoying the festivities.
The CCTC Main Campus is at 11627 State Route 243 in Chesapeake.
Collins Career Technical Center provides health, service, and trades-based career technical programs for adult and high school students throughout the Tri-State region (Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia). High school juniors and seniors can participate in full-time on-campus programs or STEM classes in six of the seven county school districts. Students in our programs can access industry-standard equipment as they earn credentials and develop the skills needed to begin their careers as competent workforce members.
