Congrats to J.J. Hale on his new career. The Ohio Department of Insurance asked him to be their voice on the latest TV and radio on all major Channels including the REDs and Cleveland Guardians broadcasts. He is also working as a independent contractor for Ohio State Buckeyes Radio network this fall. He will be doing field effects and post game audio from his assigned locker room!

The NAACP will hold their 29th annual Freedom Banquet on October 5th at 7 PM at the Extension Office at 17 Standpipe Road in Jackson. Key note speaker is Michael Stroth. They cover Jackson, Gallia, and Lawrence Counties. This year’s theme is We’re all in-Thriving together in Ohio.
The Commissioners have moved to their new home at 185 Morton Street in Jackson.
Trick or Treat in Jackson is October 31st from 5:30-7PM.
Don’t forget the Bloomfield School 100 year celebration honoring the grads, the late Pearl McLaughin, Sherm Leedy, and Vaughn Lewis. The event will be held at the Bloomfield School site from 3-5 on October 5th. Light refreshments and Hors d’ oeuvres will be served at no charge, but donations will be accepted. At Adena Hospital, Dr. Thomas Runge in Gastroenterology is leaving, Dr. J in Sports Medicine may have already left, and Elizabeth Yeager in Family Practice is going to Holzer. My cardiology appointment got cancelled three times and now is January 2nd!
