DUNN — Smithfield-based KS Bank held a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently to celebrate the opening of its full-service branch at 206 W. Broad St.

The Dunn branch marks KS Bank’s 10th branch location and its first in Harnett County.

Earl W. Worley Jr. is the bank’s president and CEO. “We are solidifying our commitment to the city of Dunn and Harnett County and putting a permanent stake in the ground for this region,” he said. “We are excited about the future of our bank here in Dunn and the role we can play in the continued growth and success of the greater Dunn community.”

Dunn Mayor William P. Elmore Jr. echoed that sentiment. “The city and surrounding areas are excited to welcome KS Bank to its new downtown Dunn location,” he said. “KS Bank’s dedication to community banking and excellent customer service will be a perfect match for this region. We anticipate the bank’s success and the prosperity of its new customers.”

Peter Gwaltney is president and CEO of the N.C. Bankers Association. “The expansion of KS Bank to Dunn is an exciting development for the bank and the community of Dunn,” he said. “It’s reflective of the strength and health of North Carolina’s banking industry and the economic growth in the region.”

More than 100 community members attended the ribbon-cutting. In addition to Worley, Elmore and Gwaltney, the ceremony featured remarks from Kristina Harrell, executive vice president of the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce, and KS Bank representative Harold Keen.

The Rev. Matthew Cornett, senior pastor of Princeton Church, gave the invocation, and Darren Hughes, administrative pastor of Central Baptist Church in Dunn, gave the prayer of dedication.

The new branch offers a full range of deposit and loan products for individuals and businesses. Customers can use in-branch and drive-thru teller service, as well as 24-hour access to their money through an ATM. They can also bank online or via KS Bank’s mobile app.
