Brent Evans of Princeton is among this year’s winners of the HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year Award.

Malco Tools, a maker of tools for the HVAC trade, said Evans stood out for his achievements, on-the-job safety and commitment to making a difference in his community.

Evans owns Evans Heating & A/C. He is a former HVAC instructor at Johnston Community College in Smithfield.

Malco noted that Evans and his team at Evans Heating & A/C have made efforts to improve workplace safety, and on the environmental side, they use a van with a portable solar generator, which creates its own power.

Outside of work, Evans sponsors local sports teams, and he is a Freemason with the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford.

Evans was one of five award winners nationwide.

“It is always an honor to recognize the 2024 HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year winners for their commitment to their craft and the communities they support,” said Rich Benninghoff, president and CEO of Malco Tools. “These individuals represent the finest in the HVAC industry, sharing their skills and making a meaningful impact through their work and service.”

Each winner will receive a Malco tool kit valued at $1,000.
