Howell Woods welcomes bald eagle

FOUR OAKS — Lady Bird, a bald eagle, has found her forever home at Johnston Community College’s Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center. The eagle is named for former First Lady Claudia “Lady Bird” Johnson, whose dedication to conservation inspired Howell Woods’ mission to promote environmental education and stewardship.
