OKLAHOMA CITY Oklahoma Treasurer Todd Russ and the Oklahoma Treasurer's Unclaimed Property Division is proud to announce the successful resolution of a significant unclaimed property case, reuniting heirs with $3,117,448.73.

The funds, originating from Jackson National Life Insurance Company, were due to the Huckleberry Estate.

“This success story is a testament to the division's dedication and integrity to returning unclaimed property to its owners.” State Treasurer Todd Russ said. “Our commitment at the Treasurer's office transcends just managing funds; it's about reuniting Oklahoma families with 333 over $1 billion in personal and mislocated property, reinforcing our dedication to the people's well-being and the trust they place in us."

The State Treasurer recently launched " Wealth is Waiting ," a statewide campaign encouraging Oklahomans to reclaim lost or forgotten assets. The State Treasurer's Office currently holds over $1 billion in assets, including jewelry, coin collections, utility deposits, stock certificates, uncashed checks, life insurance policies and more, waiting to be reunited with rightful owners.

Unique to Oklahoma, state law imposes no deadline for claiming these assets, emphasizing the state's ongoing commitment to indefinitely reunite Oklahomans with their property. This initiative reflects the office's dedication to serving the state's citizens and ensuring they can recover what is rightfully theirs without concern for time limits.

Oklahomans curious to explore potential unclaimed property can easily begin their search by visiting the State Treasurer's dedicated website, YourMoney.ok.gov . This platform allows individuals to conduct a name-based search to discover if they have assets waiting to be claimed. While the site maintains privacy and security to safeguard against fraud, it guides rightful owners through a simple process, allowing them to claim their assets promptly. This efficient, user-friendly approach underscores the state's commitment to reuniting Oklahomans with their lost or forgotten property.
