    2024-08-15

The Journal Record ’s Woman of the Year Gala, to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, will honor the more than 50 women nominated for 2024.

The Journal Record presents an annual Woman of the Year program to recognize outstanding leaders in the community.

Nominees for this prestigious award are typically selected based on their significant contributions to business, civic engagement and community service in Oklahoma.

The nomination process involves individuals or organizations submitting candidates who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, professional achievement and a commitment to making a positive impact in their fields and the broader community.

A panel of judges, often comprised of past honorees and community leaders, reviews the nominations to select finalists and ultimately the Woman of the Year recipient based on career accomplishments, innovative approaches to business or community challenges, mentorship of other women and involvement in philanthropic efforts.

The award aims to highlight women who not only excel in their professional roles but also use their influence and resources to uplift others and drive positive change in Oklahoma.
