OKLAHOMA CITY Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s Organized Crime Task Force recently seized and eradicated more than 9,000 marijuana plants and 456 pounds of unlawful marijuana in Seminole.

The State Fire Marshall’s Office and Oklahoma LP Gas conducted an inspection on July 25 at the grow facility. Multiple administrative violations were observed during the inspection as well as a significant amount of unlawful marijuana. The Organized Crime Task Force, with assistance from the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, the Seminole Police Department and the National Guard Counter-Drug Unit, executed a search warrant at the facility on Aug. 1 and seized the illegal drugs.

“I am proud of the work the Organized Crime Task Force is doing and I appreciate the law enforcement agencies who partnered with us to shut down this illegal grow facility,” Drummond said.

“Illegal operations like this have plagued Oklahoma since the legalization of medical marijuana in 2018, but the task force is making significant strides in driving out the bad actors who run these unlawful operations. We will not rest until we’ve put an end to the scourge of illegal marijuana in Oklahoma.”
