Ohio police said a 19-year-old man was driving the wrong way down the road at double the speed limit before a head-on crash that killed him, his twin brother and a 32-year-old woman in another car, local news outlets reported.

Samuel Beyene was driving a Dodge Charger at 70 mph in a 35 mph zone before crashing into a Nissan Altima driven by 32-year-old Deandra Brigham at about 3:30 a.m. Aug. 19, The Columbus Dispatch reported.

According to news release from the Columbus Division of Police, the Charger was traveling west in an eastbound lane with its headlights off.

Police said Brigham was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three occupants of the Charger were taken to a local hospital in critical or serious condition, police said.

Samuel Beyene died at the hospital following the crash, and Joel Beyene, a passenger, died the next day, WSYX reported.

A third person remains in serious condition, according to the outlet.

More than 100 people showed up to honor Brigham, mother of a 9-year-old son , at a vigil on Aug. 21, WBNS reported.

“I don’t know how any parent can come back from this,” Deandra’s mother, Keato Lanier, told the outlet. “My daughter meant everything to me, man. They took my right hand away.”

Authorities said the crash is being investigated by the Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit.
