Ravens’ Roquan Smith issued warning to a Chiefs player following game

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes used his legs to pick up a key first down in the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Ravens.

On third-and-3 from Baltimore’s 39-yard line, Mahomes got 4 yards and ran out of bounds. That extended a drive that ended with Mahomes throwing a 35-yard touchdown pass to Worthy.

Some fans wondered why there wasn’t a penalty on Mahomes’ scramble. Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith appeared to push Mahomes late but no flag was thrown.

After the game, Smith said he did nothing wrong. And Smith was unhappy with Chiefs tight end Peyton Hendershot , who wears No. 88 , on the play.

“He flopped,” Smith said of Mahomes. “That’s why the referees didn’t call it. It was a great no-call by the ref. But whoever 88 is, I don’t know who he is, but he better watch himself. He did a little slick push.”

After issuing the warning, Smith was asked if someone on the Chiefs sideline had shoved him.

“Yeah. Whoever No. 88 is, I have no idea who he is,” Smith said, “but I’ll see him when I see him.”

Hendershot, who was acquired last month in a trade with the Cowboys, was not active for the game.

Likely’s response

Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely very nearly scored a touchdown on the game’s final play but the edge of his shoe was out of bounds. Chances are, you saw that, right?

After the game, Likely said of the Chiefs: “This is the worst we are going to play, so if that’s the best they have, good luck in the postseason.”
