Sublime with Rome are playing their final show in Kansas City. Here’s what to know

Since 2009, popular rock band Sublime has performed and toured with singer Rome Rodriguez under the name Sublime with Rome . For Kansas Citians, this weekend is the last time to see them perform.
After Sublime’s original singer Bradley Norwell died in 1996, bandmates Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh would play together and separately before reuniting in 2009 with Rodriguez to perform the band’s hits and new material. As of today, only Rodriguez remains, since Wilson and Gaugh left the band in January 2024 and started playing with Norwell’s son, Jakob, under the Sublime name .
The band coming to Kansas City is called Sublime with Rome because years ago, Bradley Norwell’s estate threatened them with a lawsuit if they continued to perform under the Sublime name.
While none of the original members of Sublime will perform on this tour, you can still hear the band’s greatest hits like “Santeria,” “What I Got” and “Badfish.” Here’s what you need to know before the show.
How much are Sublime with Rome tickets?
Tickets for Sublime with Rome start at $35 for general admission . A general admission ticket will also get you access to the bars and restaurants on the lower level of the venue, like McFadden’s and Johnny’s Tavern. Guests do have to be ages 18 or older to have general admission access.
Tickets for the patio and mezzanine terrace are sold out, but they include exclusive access to sections within the venue. Patio tickets give guests a spot to watch the show from an elevated viewing deck and access to the bar in the center of the venue. Terrace access includes viewing the show from the upstairs section in front of Shark Bar and two drink tickets.
Guests have to be ages 21 and older to have purchased patio and terrace tickets.
Where can I park in downtown Kansas City?
Downtown Kansas City has plenty of parking available near the KC! Live Block. The venue offers on-site parking in the red lot at 12th and Oak streets and the yellow lot at 13th Street and Grand Boulevard, which is the KC Live! garage.
Where can I be dropped off and picked up for the concert?
Grand Boulevard and Oak Street in front of the KC Live! block will be blocked off for the concert.
If you’re being dropped off by a family, friend, Uber or Lyft, they can take you as close to the 13th and Oak Street entrance as possible. They may also drop you off on streets that aren’t blocked off in the Power & Light District or farther away if walking isn’t an issue.
The same is true for picking up concertgoers after the show. Communicate with your driver so they can find you once the show’s over.
What can I not bring inside the KC Live! Block?
Items that aren’t allowed inside the KC Live! Block include outside foods, beverages and weapons or other items that present a risk of harm to a person or property, according to the Power & Light District . No pets are allowed besides service animals, as are bags or purses larger than 16 inches by 12 inches.
