Former University of Kansas men’s basketball coaches Larry Brown and Roy Williams have been selected to be presenters at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Enshrinement Ceremony set for Sunday, Oct. 13, at Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Brown, a 2002 Hall of Fame inductee who coached at KU five seasons (1983-84 through 1987-88), will present former University of Colorado and NBA standout Chauncey Billups for induction.

Williams, a 2007 Hall inductee who served as KU’s coach from 1988-89 through 2002-03, will present Bo Ryan and Walter Davis for induction. Ryan is a former Wisconsin coaching legend and Davis a former North Carolina standout guard and six-time NBA All-Star.

Former Kansas State three-sport athlete and Purdue coaching legend Gene Keady also will present Ryan. Keady was inducted in the Hall in 2023.

Members of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2024 were asked to select previous inductees to accompany and present them during the ceremony. The choice is solely up to the incoming Hall of Famers or, in the case of posthumous recognition, their family members.

Those to be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Oct. 13: Billups, Ryan and Davis, as well as Seimone Augustus, Dick Barnett, Vince Carter, Doug Collins, Michael Cooper, Harley Redin, Herb Simon, Charles Smith, Michele Timms and Jerry West.

Presenters no longer give speeches in introducing the inductees but stand on stage to support the honorees during their induction speeches.

Current KU coach Bill Self was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017.
