MLB announces times and TV details for Kansas City Royals’ Wild Card games

For the first time in nine years, the regular season has ended but the Royals have more games to play.

The Royals beat the Braves 4-2 on Sunday in Atlanta, and their 86-76 record made them the second wild-card team in the American League. By winning the regular-season series with Detroit, the Royals finished ahead of the Tigers, who had an identical record.

Here is the seeding for the American League playoffs:

The National League field isn’t quite set as the Mets and Braves will play a doubleheader Monday in Atlanta to determine the final playoff teams and seeds. The Mets, Braves and Diamondbacks are vying for the final two postseason slots.
