With no disrespect to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, there’s a new couple making a bit of news in Chiefs Kingdom.

Over the last few weeks, Gracie Hunt has slowly introduced her boyfriend to her 574,000 followers on Instagram.

He was with her at So-Fi Stadium Sunday watching the Chiefs beat the division rival Chargers in Los Angeles, just hours after they attended a music festival in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.

So who is Christian Calhoun “Cody” Keith, this guy who has Sports Illustrated and other sports outlets scrambling for intel?

He has much in common with the 25-year-old daughter of Chiefs CEO and co-owner Clark Hunt — football, faith and close family ties.

The Charlotte native, who is 33, is a real estate broker who was a reserve quarterback for East Carolina University where he graduated in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in communications.

His biography on the university’s website says he is the youngest of five children of Greg and India Keith.

Greg Keith played college basketball briefly before founding The Keith Corporation, a commercial real estate company in Charlotte with “more than 480 development projects exceeding $5.6 billion in value .”

Sports are big in the family. Keith’s sister, Taylor Dowd Simpson, is married to 2012 U.S. Open golf champion Webb Simpson.

“After college, I was offered numerous invitations to participate in NFL rookie mini-camps around the country. I chose to attend training camp with the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins, and Indianapolis Colts,” Keith writes on his LinkedIn profile .

“After my time in the NFL, I accepted a preseason roster spot to play football in the Canadian Football League for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

“For the next 2 years I chased my dream of again playing football in the NFL. I was able to attend numerous other NFL/CFL training camps and one-on-one individual workouts to showcase my skill set in front of owners, general managers, offensive coordinators, and head coaches.

“I continue to maintain strong relationships with a plethora of NFL players and coaches.”

He joined his father’s company in 2019.

In college, Keith listed hunting and fishing as hobbies. Hunt, too, enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at the family’s home in Colorado.

Keith has a Bible verse pinned to his LinkedIn profile, Mark 8: 36-38, which asks what good is it for someone “to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?”

His father has spoken publicly about part of his company’s mission statement — “glorify God and honor Him forever.”

The Hunts keep their Christian faith at the center of their NFL business, too. On every game day, Hunt shares a Biblical passage on her social media.

    ‘I love you!’

Keith began showing up on her Instagram over the summer. He was with her on a “48-hour project pit stop” in Los Angeles in August.

He came to Kansas City for the Chiefs-Bengals game on Sept. 15 where they posed for pregame sideline photos at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Later that week they attended a Salvation Army black-tie fundraiser in Dallas, co-chaired by Hunt, where they were photographed with Hunt’s parents.

She also posted photo booth pics showing them cuddling and hugging.

“I am so incredibly proud of you,” Keith wrote on her Instagram post about the event. “Everyday you continue to surprise me with your talents, intelligence, creativity and stunning beauty. Thanks for letting me tag along, I had a blast with you..”

“You’re the sweetest. I love you!” Hunt responded.

“Love you beautiful!” Keith wrote back.

They were in Atlanta for the Chiefs-Falcons game on Sept. 22.

On Friday they were at the Breakaway Music Festival in Charlotte, just hours before heading to Los Angeles for the Chargers game Sunday.

Hunt is not known for publicly sharing romantic relationships.

So we’ll likely know this is serious when Keith begins showing up on her Instagram as often as Yeti, the fluffy white Pomeranian she brought home in May.
