Flying Horse Taproom is permanently closing in Brookside.

Its final day at 600 E. 63rd St. will be Sunday, owner Trey Sabates told The Star.

“It was a tough decision to make,” Sabates said. “We had a great six years and enjoyed serving the Brookside East community. After declining sales and the many growing challenges all small businesses are dealing with right now, we didn’t see any reason to continue our efforts.”

Sabates owns the building and said he’s found a new tenant for the space but is not ready to name them yet.

He also owns Brookside Wine & Spirits next door. He said he plans to focus on that and his bar catering business.

Flying Horse Taproom closed temporarily in October and reopened in January with a revamped menu that included a bison burger, a meatloaf sandwich, and a cauliflower cheddar and brown ale soup. It originally opened in 2018.
