    Kansas City will see at least 2 Royals home playoff games. How much are tickets?

    You might have to break the bank for tickets to the next two Kansas City Royals games.

    After the Royals defeated the New York Yankees 4-2 on Monday, Oct. 7 , the American League Division Series is tied 1-1, and the next two games will be played at Kauffman Stadium. Wednesday, Oct. 9, will mark the first Royals home playoff game in nine years.

    Tickets went on sale in advance in case the games happened, and the wishes of Royals fans who bought them are coming true. Game 3 starts at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday , and Game 4 starts at 7:08 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10. Fans won’t have to pick between the Chiefs or the Royals this time, since the Chiefs are now on their bye week.

    How much do Royals playoff tickets cost?

    Limited tickets remain for Game 3 through the Royals’ team website , but you can buy standing-room-only tickets. These tickets are the cheapest and cost $150 as of Tuesday, Oct. 8. Remaining tickets for $161 for a seat in the 400-level section, $435 for a 200-level seat or $569 for a 100-level seat.

    Demand and prices change fast, as the cheapest ticket remaining on the site on Thursday, Oct. 3 , was $276 for seats.

    Resale sites have more seats available around Kauffman Stadium for similar prices as of Tuesday afternoon:

    Game 4 tickets on the Royals’ website start at $153 for standing room sections . Seated sections range from $241 in the 400-level section to $778 for a seat in the Diamond Club. Here’s how resale ticket site prices compare as of Tuesday afternoon:

    Resale ticket site GameTime says the most expensive ticket for Game 3 is $7,800, and for Game 4, it’s $5,673.

    You will also need to purchase a parking pass in advance. The Royals charge $20 for general parking, $30 for premium spots and $40 for oversized vehicles for each game at the Truman Sports Complex . Depending on the attendance, you may be able to park right outside Kauffman Stadium or on the opposite side of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

    You can buy parking passes online . Your pass must be purchased before arriving at the toll gates.

    When do Royals ALCS tickets go on sale?

    If the Royals win two of the next three games, they will move on to the ALCS to play either AL Central rivals Cleveland Guardians or the Detroit Tigers.

    Hopeful fans can buy potential tickets for these games starting 10 a.m. Wednesday, a Royals spokesperson said.
