The 15 reasons Kamala Harris is on track to win the presidency | Opinion

Americans Seeking Truth and Accountability is an independent political consulting firm dedicated to refuting or verifying statements made by political candidates and parties. It also develops campaign strategy for candidates. I am its chairman and Michael Germann, longtime Boeing political relations executive, is its CEO. ASTA has consistently addressed critical issues before others acknowledged them. In the sixth month of Donald Trump’s administration, we stated: “Electing Trump was a mistake but the bigger problem is the Republican Party.”

We criticized President Joe Biden in 2021 for not recognizing Trump’s actions were domestic threats to overthrow our democracy, and for not protecting us from those dangers. We criticized Attorney General Merrick Garland in 2021 for prosecuting Jan. 6 rioters instead of Trump and the planners of the insurrection. This allowed Trump to tell thousands of people falsely every week that the 2020 election was stolen from him. Those people believed him, as he has never been punished for trying to overthrow our government.

We criticized Biden for giving Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a blank check after Hamas invaded Israel. Netanyahu’s conduct in the ensuing war has created a broader conflict that now threatens to involve America directly.

We are now predicting Kamala Harris will win the 2024 election by a margin too large to contest for at least 15 reasons:

Since Harris became the Democratic Party nominee, she has raised $1 billion and closed Trump’s lead on Biden in every battleground state — and taken the lead in some. Trump and running mate J.D. Vance will go further to the hard right with lies and baseless claims, but Harris will stay professional and presidential.

The polls that predicted a “red wave” during the 2022 midterm elections were wrong, and we believe today’s polls calling a close race are similarly wrong.

Abortion is an issue that will draw people to vote against him in overwhelming numbers. The August 2022 Kansas election on the misleading Value Them Both amendment is the harbinger of this wave of new voters.

Driven by the Federal Reserve’s recent interest rate cut, important parts of the economy will become more affordable before the election.

Voters will realize there will be no violence when Trump loses. There will be no large mobs to support him in overthrowing the government like on Jan 6, 2021. Some 600 Jan. 6 insurrectionists have been sentenced to incarceration , out of more than 1,500 arrests. Potential followers know Trump has not helped these people financially — and would not help them.

Trump’s various legal trials will continue to reveal conduct on his part that makes him impossible to support.

Unsavory Republican candidates endorsed by Trump, such as North Carolina gubernatorial hopeful Mark Robinson, will continue to be discovered and hurt Trump in battleground states.

Trump’s responsibility for killing the bipartisan bill to better secure our southern border earlier this year will significantly reduce Trump’s advantage on this issue — perhaps the single biggest detriment to Trump’s campaign.

Harris’ vice presidential running mate Tim Walz has a considerably higher approval rating than Vance.

As the details of Project 2025 become well known, Americans will reject Trump for wanting to implement its harsh provisions. Despite his false assertions to know nothing about the unpopular plan, it shares many goals with his own Agenda 47.

Millions of Americans who rely on the Affordable Care Act for health insurance will understand Trump has tried to terminate it eight times, and does not plan to replace it.

Voters will be reminded that during the Trump administration, hundreds of thousands of Americans died because of his downplaying and mismanaging the COVID-19 a pandemic. Also, 200,000 manufacturing jobs were lost and the national debt was increased by $8 trillion during his term.

Voters will heed hundreds of former and current military leaders saying he is unfit to lead our country, and their warning is echoed by many prominent Republican officials.

His mental lapses continue to become more frequent.

True conservatives know an overwhelming defeat of Trump is the only way to rebuild the Republican Party based on its traditional values.

Trump will always have the one-percenters, racists and misogynists. But, as they did in 2020, voters of good conscience will simply tire of Trump’s lies and baseless claims. They will realize he has no real plans for Americans. His only plans are to become president and destroy American democracy.
