Here’s a look at highlights from some big Missouri-side high school football games around the Kansas City metro on Friday night.

    No. 1 Lee’s Summit North 35, No. 15 Liberty North 13

Playing at Liberty North, the Broncos took advantage of three interceptions to beat the Eagles for the second straight year and improve to 7-0.

The game was close at the break, with the Broncos up 14-10.

Lee’s Summit North expanded its lead to 21-10 in the third quarter on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Mickhi Mitchell to Willam Ray.

The Eagles (4-3) got a second field goal from Bleu Renfrow — this one from 50 yards — to make it 21-13 early in the fourth quarter.

Down a possession, the Eagles got the ball back on an interception by Easton Goss but couldn’t capitalize.

A few plays later, Isaac McIntosh intercepted Tillman Martin and ran it back 55 yards for a TD with 3:30 left. McIntosh had another interception, setting up Montrel Henderson’s 2-yard TD run at the 2:26 mark.

In the first half, Lee’s Summit North’s Kai Reid took an interception 20 yards to the end zone to give the Broncos a 14-0 advantage.

No. 24 Oak Park 28, No. 23 North Kansas City 21

In a Northland battle, Oak Park pulled way in the second half.

Oak Park (5-2) broke a 14-14 tie on receiver Deng Tong’s TD at the 3:01 mark in the third quarter. He broke a tackle at the 10-yard line and bulled ahead to the end zone.

The Hornets (4-3) forged another tie, 21-21, in the final period when Zhaion Hampton scored his second TD of the night.

Oak Park got the game-winning points with 5:48 left when Antonio Johnson Jr. connected with Caedin Fields for a 35-yard scoring pass.

Donnell Jamison gave NKC a 7-0 lead early when he scooped and scored on a fumbled punt. Oak Park then went up 14-7 on a 27-yard TD pass from Johnson Jr. to Drew Clemens. Hampton’s 80-yard TD made it 14-all.

The Northmen, who have now won four straight against the Hornets, play host to No. 22 Liberty next Friday. North Kansas City plays at Park Hill South.

No. 13 Blue Springs South 41, No. 22 Liberty 24

Blue Springs South’s KJ Hawkins and Darius Morgan each ran for more than 130 yards as the the Jaguars, ranked No. 13 in the 810 Varsity Top 25, pulled away from the Blue Jays.

Blue Springs South raced to a 27-10 halftime lead behind a 54-yard TD pass from Ayden Wilhelm to Wyatt Denney and a 9-yard TD by Hawkins.

Liberty’s Lincoln Dwiggins made a field goal to cut into the visitors’ lead and make it 13-10, but the Jags answered with two TDs late in the first half: one on a 6-yard run by Morgan and the other courtesy of Wilhelm’s 5-yard scoring pass to Gary Hill.

Liberty RB Jaxon Hicks scored on a 41-yard run. He finished with 185 yards and 2 rushing TDs.

The game’s final TDs came via Morgan’s 9-yard run, a Hicks scoring reception that made it 34-24 with 3:55 left and Hill’s 48-yard kickoff return.

Blue Springs South will play host to rival and 17th-ranked Blue Springs next Friday, while Liberty travels to No. 24 Oak Park.
