After the Chiefs beat the Saints on “Monday Night Football,” players and coaches went their separate ways for the team’s bye week.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and superstar singer Taylor Swift, his girlfriend, headed to New York where they were followed closely by paparazzi .

Had the Royals been able to extend their American League Division Series to a fifth game on Saturday, would America’s favorite couple have made the trip to Yankee Stadium to root on the boys in blue?

We’ll never know, of course. But Kelce and Swift did make a point of going to Game 1 of the American League Championship Series on Monday at Yankee Stadium.

One reason for their appearance: They were in New York.

The Yankees were facing the Cleveland Guardians, and Kelce loves all the sports teams from where he grew up (the lone exception being the Browns when they face the Chiefs). That’s reason No. 2 for their appearance.

And then there’s this: Kelce loves sports of all kinds. A year ago, he attended Game 1 of the World Series between the Rangers and Phillies in Arlington, Texas.
