Lt. Haley commended for 20 years of service

The Key West City Commission this month recognized Key West Police Lt. Matt Haley for his 20 years of dedicated service with the department.

After serving in the U.S. Coast Guard and earning his bachelor’s degree in at Southern Illinois University and working with the Florida Department of Children and Family, he was ready to start his career with the Key West Police Department.

During his tenure with the police department, Lt. Haley has served as road patrol officer, detective, patrol sergeant, sergeant of general case detectives, patrol/school resource officer lieutenant, and currently oversees the Criminal Investigations Unit.
