Looking for something special to do on Mother's Day in Corning, and maybe start a new tradition?

Carey’s Brew House will serve Mother’s Day breakfast and lunch “mama style” on Sunday at the popular Bridge Street eatery.

Tammy Carey, who owns the 58 Bridge St. restaurant and bar with her husband, Joe Carey, said the couple decided to offer this unique Mother’s Day event to bring something different to the Crystal City.

“I wanted to offer something different than everyone else in the area on Mother’s Day,” Tammy Carey said. “So, after a discussion we decided this is the way we wanted to go. This will be the first time we've offered this, and we are excited about it.”

People interested in the breakfast or lunch held at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon Sunday must make reservations to attend, Carey said. Call 377-5651 to make your reservations.

The new event at Carey's Brew House can serve about 100 customers.

Meanwhile, the Raddison Hotel Corning, off Denison Parkway, will offer Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, hotel officials said. The brunch offers breakfast favorites, special stations, hot entrees, soups, salads and much more.

Coleen Fabrizi, Gaffer District Executive Director, said the Mother’s Day events at Carey’s Brew House, the Raddison and others throughout the district are an important part of the success of the Gaffer District.
