Nearly 400 were in attendance at the annual West Creek High School junior and senior prom, which was held once again at The Bruce Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

“We are excited to have such a great turnout this year," Mandy Frost, WCHS senior administrator said. "We reserve the Bruce Center every year, and they always do a great job. There are stations set up inside with food and refreshments, and at 8 p.m., seniors and their dates assemble on the balcony in the main lobby."

The running tradition is for couples to descend the grand staircase as they are announced. Throughout the evening, voting was open for students to elect this year's King and Queen, which was announced at 10 p.m.

“The theme tonight is 'Ethereal Garden,' and the kids seem to be really excited about it," Mandy Schmucker, WCHS Senior Class SGA Advisor said. "We have close to 400 kids coming out, and a lot of them have dressed for the theme as well, which is really cool.

"The students have done a great job of putting this together this year.”

A DJ played music in the main room, and a photo booth was set up in the lobby.

"We strive to have a variety of things available so that everyone can really enjoy this special night," Frost said.
