Two years after the initial announcement that the Doubletree would be making a home in downtown Clarksville, the hotel opened Tuesday its doors to the public.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Clarksville Riverview in downtown Clarksville will offer 156 rooms in the full-service hotel and views overlooking the Cumberland River.

The hotel is part of the Riverview Square project , including retail stores and a parking garage.

The hotel will feature Harvest Kitchen + Spirits, a 110-seat restaurant featuring traditional regional and classic American dishes, bringing a touch of Appalachian flavor to Tennessee cuisine.

Guests can also go to the ground-floor ballroom with an outdoor terrace and 4,000 square-foot grand ballroom.

    Other amenities include:

    • 24-hour fitness facility
    • Grab-n-go market
    • Lobby bar

The plans for the downtown location were announced in 2022 when BNA Associates , a Nashville-based real estate development company, finalized a franchise agreement with the Hilton hospitality group.

In 2023, Oliver Hospitality announced that it acquire the location and is now partnered with Hilton.

“We are proud of our inaugural partnership with Hilton and the collaborative effort to open what is sure to be the preferred place to gather downtown for food, drink, entertainment and a home away from home,” said Chett Abramson, president of Oliver Hospitality.

“The dynamic hotel and its restaurant will be the heartbeat of the Riverview Square development and set the bar for hospitality in the region. We look forward to embracing our guests and new neighbors like family.”

    'A reflection of Clarksville'

The hotel was transformed from the Riverview Inn, a remodel that was announced in 2019 along with the F&M Bank Arena.

In a prepared statement, the hotel said the Doubletree by Hilton Clarksville Riverview is designed "as a tribute" to Clarksville's history.

While the halls to the guest rooms are decorated in nature-inspired photography paralleling Tennessee's landscape, the guest room's graphic carpet pattern offers "a modern interpretation of a river's flowing currents."
