Previous winners this fall include Fort Campbell's John Arnold , Fort Campbell's Keshawn Dixon , Fort Campbell's Dylan McDonald , Houston County's Malaki Cary , Houston County's Preston Mitchell and West Creek's DJ Swanson .

This week's candidates are listed below:

Mick Casto, football, Rossview: Hit the game-winning 25-yard field goal in overtime in an 18-15 win at Dickson County.

Eric Greene, football, Fort Campbell: Caught three passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns and had an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in a 36-31 win at Edmonson County.

Hayden Howell, golf, Stewart County: Shot a 2-over-par 73 to finish second at the Region 5-A tournament. Led the Rebels to a team championship with a score of 304, 22 strokes ahead of second-place Liberty Creek.

Gavyn Hunter, football, Kirkwood: Caught four passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns and returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown in a 35-7 win over Liberty Creek. Also had five tackles.

Robert Kizer, football, Houston County: Completed five of 10 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns in a 47-7 win at Hollow Rock-Bruceton. Added a rushing touchdown.

Kayden Pledger, football, Clarksville: Went 3-for-8 passing for 103 yards, with all of his completions going for touchdowns, in a 47-0 win at Northwest.
