The fourth annual Rally & Ride Out of the Darkness will be held Sept. 28 in Lakeland. The ride honors the memory of those lost to suicide and promotes mental health services .

This will be an escorted motorcycle ride that leads to a community rally at the Sun 'n Fun Fly-In grounds at the Lakeland airport. Amanda Burns, the event organizer, created the rally to honor her sister, who died by suicide in 2019. The event will feature more than 70 vendors, entertainment, food and alcoholic beverages, camping for the weekend and more, according to a news release.

Riders from 37 states will travel to Lakeland for the event, Burns said.

Love Surrounds You Memorial Foundation is partnering with Lakeland Harley Davidson, Infidels MC of all active and retired veterans, Revolution Church, and other organizations to raise money for scholarships, the release said.
