Plea agreement reached in Lexington, KY cocaine trafficking case

LEXINGTON, Ky.--An individual identified in court documents as Kevin Lamont Green has entered a plea agreement concerning federal charges related to cocaine distribution in Central Kentucky.

According to the plea agreement, filed with the Eastern District of Kentucky (EDKY) court Tuesday, on December 1, 2020, the defendant acquired approximately 4 kilograms of cocaine in Fayette County, KY. This event set into motion a series of law enforcement actions culminating in a traffic stop on Interstate 75 in Scott County, KY. The stop, which was aided by a drug detection dog's alert to the presence of narcotics, led to the discovery of the cocaine in the vehicle's trunk. Subsequent laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of 3.9 kilograms of cocaine, intended for distribution.
