    Football roundup: Perry shuts out North Central

    Perry’s Hunter Scott passed for 84 yards and a touchdown in his team’s win over North Central.

    Perry 34, North Central 0

    Perry quarterback Hunter Scott completed 4 of 11 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown in the win. Isaiah McFadden ran the ball 18 times for 70 yards and a touchdown, while Kimari Glenn added 2 catches for 49 yards and a touchdown.

    The Commodores (2-1) will visit Upper Scioto Valley (2-1) next week.

    Indian Lake 28, Allen East 21

    Allen East quarterback Jackson Thompson went 6 of 19 for 128 yards through the air and ran the ball 23 times for 72 yards and two touchdowns in the loss

    Miles McDorman used 9 carries to get 41 yards and a touchdown, while Ethan Hershberger had 2 catches for 61 yards.

    The Mustangs (2-1) open conference play next week at home against LCC (1-1).

    Crestview 37, Wayne Trace 16

    Crestview quarterback Bryson Penix completed 14 of 20 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran the ball 10 times for 89 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

    Isaiah Barton had 5 catches for 88 yards and two touchdowns for the Knights (2-1). They’ll play their NWC opener next week at Fort Loramie (1-2).

    For Wayne Trace (0-3), Jack Schoenauer went 6 of 10 for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Brady Miller had 4 catches for 54 yards and a touchdown.

    The Raiders take on Paulding (3-0) in their GMC opener next week.

    Arlington 44, Ada 43

    Arlington’s Trenton Heacock threw a game-winning 9-yard touchdown pass to Brady Griggs as time expired.

    Ada (2-1) travels to Elmwood (0-3) on Friday.

    Hardin Northern 29, Cory-Rawson 0

    Hardin Northern’s Nolan Hopson ran the ball 25 times for 272 yards and three touchdowns. Xander Wilson added 14 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown.

    The Polar Bears (2-1) visit Waynesfield-Goshen (3-0) next week.

    Spencerville 24, Riverside 21

    Spencerville’s Kolton Grigsby ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

    The Bearcats (3-0) host Columbus Grove in their NWC opener next week.

    Coldwater 55, Ft. Recovery 8

    Coldwater quarterback Baylen Blockberger went 9 of 12 for 188 yards and three touchdowns. He added 44 yards on the ground in the win.

    Miles Potkotter ran the ball 6 times for 41 yards and two touchdowns, while Ethan Elander caught two passes, both for touchdowns and 106 yards.

    Fort Recovery’s Reece Wendel carried the ball 16 times for 106 yards and a touchdown.

    The Cavaliers (3-0) host Anna (2-1) next week, while Fort Recovery (1-2) travels to St. Henry (1-2).

    Minster 41, Anna 14

    Minster’s Brogan Stephey went 20 for 24 on passes for 214 yards and ran for 113 yards and three touchdowns.

    Connor Schmiesing added 13 carries for 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Dominik Meyer ran the ball 10 times for 47 yards and a touchdown.

    For Anna, Alex Shappie went 16 of 26 for 187 yards and one interception. Zach Osborn got 18 carries for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

    Minster (3-0) hosts Parkway in Week 4 and Anna (2-1) visits Coldwater (3-0).

    Leipsic 35, Elmwood 7

    Leipsic (2-1) scored 20 points in the second quarter to pull away from Elmwood (0-3).

    Quarterback Marc Kirkendall went 17 of 25 for 179 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

    Ty Lammers added 48 rushing yards, a touchdown and 66 receiving yards with an additional score. Jayce Brecht was the leading receiver with 6 catches for 93 yards and one touchdown.

    The Vikings host Pandora-Gilboa (1-2) on Friday.

    Paulding 27, Delphos Jefferson 2

    Paulding quarterback Colten Hunt went 10 of 22 with 182 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Hunt added 31 rushing yards and one touchdown.

    Avery Cooper was Paulding’s leading rusher with 111 yards on 27 carries and Blake Rhonehouse caught 5 passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns.

    The Panthers (3-0) take on Wayne Trace (0-3) in their GMC opener next week.

    Delphos Jefferson (1-2) hosts Bluffton (3-0) to open NWC play.

    Celina 42, Van Wert 14

    Celina quarterback Bobby Morris finished with 173 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 17 carries in the win. He went 5 for 9 through the air for 169 yards.

    Kaiden Wertz caught two passes for 129 yards for the Bulldogs (2-1).

    For Van Wert (1-2), Briston Wise finished 18 of 24 for 163 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions. He also rushed for 112 yards on 23 carries

    Micah Cowan caught 10 passes for 104 yards.

    Celina hosts Shawnee (2-1) next week, while Van Wert takes on Defiance (1-2) at Eggerss Stadium.

    Defiance 14, St Marys 10

    Caleb Schmidt of St. Marys registered his first career 100-yard game in the loss, finishing with 102 yards on 13 carries. Dominik Osborne added 90 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.

    Defiance (1-2) visits Van Wert (1-2) on Friday night, while St. Marys (2-1) welcomes in Wapakoneta (3-0)

    Marion Local 42, St. Henry 9

    Marion Local head coach Tim Goodwin now has 312 wins, tying Steubenville’s Reno Saccoccia (1983-2012) for 8th in Ohio HS Football history.

    The Flyers (3-0) play Delphos St. John’s (1-2) on the road next week, while St. Henry (1-2) hosts Fort Recovery (1-2).
