Allen County Museum receives $350,000 grant

LIMA — The National Endowment for the Humanities has chosen the Allen County Museum to receive the Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collection Grant for $350,000.

Since 2002, the Allen County Museum has been working on a three-phase plan to enhance and renovate the main museum building, making it more visitor-friendly and providing improved storage conditions for its artifacts.

The third phase of the plan, which includes upgrading the museum’s HVAC system, will be addressed with the grant.

The museum was one of 55 organizations that applied for the grant and one of 10 that received the grant.
