    Football: Columbus Grove stays at No. 2 in latest D-VII AP poll

    Columbus Grove (7-0) and Marion Local (7-0) remained in the top two spots this week in the fifth weekly Division VII state poll, voted upon by Associated Press members throughout Ohio.

    Minster (6-1) dropped to fourth in D-VII and Bluffton (7-0) fell to No. 5 in D-VI.

    Wapakoneta (7-0) stayed at No.6 in D-III and Coldwater (7-0) is back down to No. 2 in D-VI.

    Anna (5-2) is also up to No. 9 in D-VI after previously being unranked.

    Other area teams receiving votes included Lima Senior (D-II, 17), LCC (D-VII, 6), Versailles, (D-V, 6) and Ada (D-VII, 4).

    The Top 10 teams in each Associated Press Ohio high school football poll, along with first-place votes in parentheses and win-loss records, are included below.

    Division I

    Others receiving votes: 11, Grove City 13. 12, Hamilton 11. 13, Springboro 10. 14, Pickerington North 9. 15, Lorain 8. 16, Canton McKinley 5. 17, Cincinnati St. Xavier 5. 18, Cincinnati Princeton 4. 19, Lewis Center Olentangy 4. 20, Toledo Whitmer 3. 21, Pickerington Central 2. 22, Centerville 1. 23, Cincinnati Elder 1.

    Division II

    Others receiving votes: 11, Akron Hoban 21. 12, Macedonia Nordonia 19. 13, Harrison 19. 14, Lima Senior 17. 15, North Ridgeville 15. 16, Ashland 9. 17, Cincinnati La Salle 7. 18, Columbus St. Francis DeSales 6. 19, Columbus Franklin Heights 6. 20, Austintown-Fitch 2. 21, Hamilton Badin 1.

    Figured Lima Senior would be ranked higher!!! Is their schedule considered weak or something?? Just make the playoffs.. and show the state what they do!!!
