LIMA — Rhodes State College has been awarded a grant from the Gene Haas Foundation dedicated to its fostering skills in the machining industry.

The funding will provide scholarships for students pursuing computer numerically controlled, machining technology and waving registration fees for select mini-camps and boot camps until capacity is reached.

The grant will enhance Rhodes State College’s Rhodesology and Pre-College programs, which are designed to introduce young minds to the dynamic career opportunities within STEM fields.

“The Gene Haas Foundation’s support is invaluable in helping us nurture the next generation of leaders in CNC machining,” said Ashley Hunter, coordinator of youth community and continuing education.
