LOGAN — A local manufacturing firm has been hit with another lawsuit over its alleged failure to pay its bills.

Logan Glass Technologies was already facing a legal complaint in Hocking County Common Pleas Court from a chemical supply company, Sisecam Chemical Resources LLC, which is seeking more than $173,000 based on the Logan firm’s alleged failure to pay a long-overdue bill for almost 300 tons of bulk soda ash.

A natural gas supply firm also sued Logan Glass Technologies in county court, claiming the company owed it more than $660,000, but later voluntarily dismissed that suit without prejudice, leaving open the possibility that it could be refiled.

In addition, Logan Glass Technologies is being sued in Cuyahoga County by Savant Technologies, LLC, which once operated the plant which Logan Glass Technologies now occupies. That suit involves a claim of more than $420,000, related to the local firm’s purchase of items including liquid oxygen, and assets used to operate the Logan plant.

On Wednesday another creditor entered the legal arena, when BDI, a Columbus-based firm, sued Logan Glass Technologies in local court over an alleged unpaid bill of more than $24,000 for various equipment parts.

In an answer to the first lawsuit, Logan Glass Technologies has stated that at one point it had to shut down its operations due to “two separate catastrophic events” in January and April 2023.

Court documents filed in the Cuyahoga County case suggest these events were weather-related.
