    Madras man arrested in string of Redmond business robberies

    On Aug. 22, Redmond Police detectives and officers arrested 34-year-old- Jefferson County resident Ryan Gray for multiple crimes related to burglaries at Sora Sushi, 3853 SW 21st, and Xtreme RC and Hobbies, 906 NW 6th Street, in Redmond. The burglaries occurred on Aug. 19 and within a close time proximity of each crime location.

    Video and physical evidence, combined with investigative leads, resulted in a search warrant execution at one of two locations in which Gray lives in Jefferson County. During the execution of the search warrant, property in the form of radio-controlled cars and parts were recovered. Gray was lodged at the Deschutes County Jail on the following crimes: two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, criminal mischief, and aggravated theft.

    Members of the Redmond Police Department partnered with the Bend Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Madras Police Department and Crooked River Fire and Rescue on the investigation.
