Where to Celebrate National Blueberry Cheesecake Day in Maine

Sunday, May 26th, is National Blueberry Cheesecake Day and Maine is the leading producer of wild blueberries, with 36,000 acres of commercial wild blueberry land in the state. I have six blueberry bushes and recently planted another 20 on my farm. Nothing is better than homemade blueberry pancakes or muffins with fresh-picked blueberries.

We love our blueberries in Maine, and you can find many blueberry-made products all around the state, from syrups to jams and baked goods, along with farmstands and farms that offer pick-your-own and picked blueberries for sale.

To celebrate National Blueberry Cheesecake Day, there are several places in Maine that you can visit to try a slice of blueberry cheesecake.

Wild Oats Bakery and Cafe 166 Admiral Fitch Avenue, Brunswick, offers wild Maine blueberry cheesecake. Wild Oats is open 7 days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Momo's Cheesecake 471 Main Street, Ellsworth, offers a blueberry cheesecake and a lemon blueberry cheesecake among the close to 70 flavors of cheesecake offered. Momo's is self-serve on the honor system and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can pay with cash, a check, or Venmo.

Thelobsternet.com offers online ordering from their Brewer distribution facility and fresh Maine lobster, which goes nicely with their blueberry swirl cheesecake.

Spencer's Bakery and Cafe 1 Bates Road, Guilford, offers a blueberry bread pudding if you like blueberries but do not like cheesecake.

What the actual fudge in Pownal makes handmade, small-batch gourmet fudge and they offer a blueberry cheesecake fudge.

Nick's Wicked Tasty Fudge also offers a handmade blueberry cheesecake fudge available online or you can find a wholesale location in Maine.
