Drug Bust: Lewiston, Maine Police, Maine State Police Tac Team, and ATF Arrest Two Men

The Lewiston, Maine, Police Department had been conducting a lengthy drug investigation, and on Friday, July 12, 2024, in the early morning hours, they executed a search warrant at 70 River Street in Lewiston. Assisting the Lewiston Police Department in executing the search warrant were the Maine State Police Tac Team and the ATF.

Police seized approximately 60 grams of methamphetamine, 20 grams of heroin/fentanyl, and a stolen firearm during the execution of the search warrant.

Keith Gauthier, 35, of Lewiston, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking of Schedule W drugs, theft by receiving stolen property (a firearm), and violation of conditional release. David Giasson, 48, was also arrested for outstanding warrants for violating conditional release, aggravated forgery, and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Lewiston Police say the investigation remains ongoing, and more arrests are expected.
