    Lewiston, Maine Police Investigating a Shooting on Blake Street

    On Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 8:18 p.m., the Lewiston, Maine, police department said they received a report of shots fired at the Maple Knoll apartments parking lot at 253 Blake Street.

    Police arrived on the scene and they found several shell casings in the parking lot and a discarded firearm. A parked vehicle was struck by some of the bullets, and a nearby apartment building was also struck by some of the bullets.

    Witnesses told police that a male got out of a vehicle on Blake Street and started shooting at an occupied vehicle in the parking lot. After the shooting, both the shooter and the victim left the scene. Lewiston police are attempting to identify the suspect and the victim of the shooting. There is no indication that anyone was struck by gunfire. Anyone who has any information on this incident is asked to contact Detective Crystal Lachance at 513-3001.
