Arrests Made in Stolen ATM Robbery at Tubby's Ice Cream Shop in Wayne, Maine

Maine Department of Public Safety Public Information Officer Shannon Moss says that on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in the early morning hours, the Maine State Police responded to Tubby's Ice Cream Shop on Maine Street in Wayne.

The ATM inside Tubby's was reported stolen, and the Maine State Troopers investigated and located the suspects at a house in Livermore Falls. The troopers also located a significant amount of money from inside the ATM with the suspects. The ATM was found in a vacant lot away from the house.

Joshua Souther, 47, of Livermore Falls, and Jason Reckards, 44, of Livermore Falls, were arrested and charged with the theft and transported to the Androscoggin County Jail. Brittany Boivin, 37, of Jay, was arrested and transported to Androscoggin County Jail on charges of obstructing government administration and violation of conditional release.

Assisting the Maine State Police in this investigation was the Androscoggin Sheriff’s Office and the Livermore Falls Police Department.
